Greetings community,

I hate working so much that i constantly force myself to come up with genius ideas in hopes of getting a patent, selling it's intellectual property rights for a lot of money, thereby achieving early retirement so that I can fully dedicate the reminder of my life to playing Team Fortress 2 on Russian servers on STEAM. Would you like an example? Sure, I've got one for you, I came up with this one as I was writing this post. How about deep fried Read more... )

One more thing. I've got a philosophical question for those of you who are married - how do you folks set up your family budget? Let's say that husband and wife both are working, they receive checks at the end of each month and then what? Do you split it 50/50 and then go on a shopping spree or what do you do?

Public Speaking [17 Feb 2008|08:49pm]
In my never ending pursuit of improving my public speaking skills, I joined local toastmasters club. I wish engineering curriculum in US would include some kind of public speaking and negotiation classes because that's what you really need if you plan to work in corporate america. All these math classes I had to take, not much help from them, when you are trying to negotiate development budget for your components.

Things that we take for granted. [08 Dec 2007|12:31am]
So, I now live with people who are older than me...by a lot, they are between 55 and 60 years old. Amazing experience. It's very interesting to observe them, they have completely different set of values, they have totally different worries than I do. They look at world differently.

The biggest thing that i realized though is that I take a lot of things for granted. The most important one of them is time. Don't get me wrong, these people have been living a good life, they've raised 3 kids, they worked hard their entire life's. The point that i am trying to make here though is that I noticed that I've never thought of my life as a finite concept before. This false assumption of thinking that we are going to be around forever seems so common between all younger folks. I've never met a person in his or her twenties that thought, oh shit, 20 to 25 percent of my life is gone already, i'd better use the rest of what is left wisely. And this is not about smaller things like my pathological addiction to computer games, I spent hours playing them when not enrolled in school. This is more so about the bigger picture. Very often poor decisions that we make cost us dearly. We get so easily frustrated about material loses yet we rarely feel badly about wasted time. This is to be continued...

P.S. This stuffed chicken, the butter-like substance has propensity to squirt out when you bite. The shirt is ruined. Be careful when you eat stuffed chicken next time.

Early retirement [06 Dec 2007|11:43pm]
Haha, here are some lazy bastards for you!

Aldridge and Lugenbehl, who retired at ages 48 and 47, don't have a television and rarely eat out. Yet they don't feel like their life is lacking, says Aldridge.

No doubt, as long as their eight-acre parcel in Cottage Grove, Oregon produces sufficient amount of weed they should be OK.

Working entire life sucks though, they have a point there.

Academia [30 Nov 2007|02:58am]
Its 3am, damn it. I am still working on my step by step procedure on how to convert US automotive economy to ethanol fuel. Homework.

I am starting to realize that all these fancy professors in school..they don't really do much. They merely assign all worlds’ problems to their students as homework and then they simply cherry pick the best solution. They then put their names around it and send the material in to publishers.

Yes, this is my annual attempt to come back to writings on LJ. How are you, my dear loyal fans, I've sure thing missed you all!

By the way, has anyone of you tried flying via Spirit Airlines? I haven't, but I dare you to find one good customer review on the internet. And what about their planes, do they have jet engines? I hate planes with propellers, I find them anachronistic. Unless it's TU-95 of course, that fucker is bad ass. Anyway, I need 4 tickets to fly to Miami on 12/23.

So, my roommate has a girlfriend, she is a stupid white trash. I have many stories about her, here is a fresh one, happened today.

I came from work, right, so I am going to the bathroom to take a "happy-after-work" piss. There is no light in the bathroom and the door is not completely shut, so i took the decision to walk in. I walk in and there she is, sitting on a toilet, in the darkness, taking a crap. People, seriously, we have to work together here, if you go to bathroom to take a crap, at list turn the damn light on!!! Because if i see the light in the bathroom...that's a HINT! I know that someone might be there.
